Terms of Service
DRAFT v0.1 · 2026-07-15 · takes effect at public launch · under legal review — changes will be public1. The service
Boundstone provides phone, email and IP validation via API, dashboard and bulk upload, offered worldwide with prices in USD. Results describe what our checks found at query time; every response lists the checks performed and not performed, and result accuracy is characterized by our published benchmarks rather than guaranteed per-query.
2. Accounts and keys
You're responsible for what happens under your API keys. Keys can be revoked and reissued self-serve at any time. Identity verification is required above the free tier.
3. Credits and billing — the three promises
- Paid credits never expire. They remain usable for the life of your account.
- Cancel self-serve. Cancellation is a button in the dashboard, effective at period end, no contact with us required.
- 30-day money-back. Within 30 days of your first paid purchase, tell us you want out and we refund it in full.
The free tier resets to 250 credits monthly and requires no payment method. Running out of credits stops service with an explicit error; we never bill overage you didn't ask for. These clauses are the same promises printed on the pricing page — if the two ever disagree, the version more favorable to you applies.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to violate law — including telemarketing, privacy and anti-harassment law in your jurisdiction — or to validate identifier lists obtained unlawfully, to test stolen payment cards, or to build a harassment tool. The service may not be used from jurisdictions or by parties subject to sanctions programs that apply to us (including US OFAC and Australian sanctions lists). We enforce velocity limits and screening, and may suspend accounts that trip them; suspended paid balances are refunded pro rata unless fraud is involved.
5. Your data
Identifiers you submit are yours. We process them to answer your queries and retain bulk-job results for your retrieval; we do not resell them or use them to build marketable datasets. For identifiers you submit, you act as data controller and we act as your processor; a Data Processing Addendum (including EU Standard Contractual Clauses) is available from launch. Details in the Privacy Policy.
6. Disclaimers and liability
Telephony and email data is inherently imperfect; abstentions and errors happen and are measured in the open. The service is provided as-is; our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.
7. Changes and law
Changes to these terms are announced ahead of effect with a public diff. Governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia — but if you're a consumer, nothing here limits rights you cannot waive under your local law (including the Australian Consumer Law and EU/UK consumer protections).
